Question

I am in my 37th week of pregnancy and am wondering if sleeping on my back is harmful to my baby.

Answer

Sleeping on your back is perfectly fine, provided you are comfortable that way. Many pregnant women are not too comfortable on their back, as it's sometimes harder to breathe that way as the pregnancy progresses. As a matter of fact, sleeping at all is a good trick in the few weeks before you give birth! You should sleep in whatever position is best for you individually. For some women that's even in a semi-sitting position at the end of pregnancy.

35 weeks and sleeping whenever I can.
Sleeping on your back is perfectly fine if you can stand it. As is sleeping on your side. Optimal, t..
