What happens if I accidently get punched in my stomach while pregnant?
It's very unlikely that the baby
was hurt, but if you are at all concerned, you should call your provider and discuss all this. The uterus and the amniotic sac provide a wonderful cushion for your growing fetus, but of course it's normal to be worried if something unusual happens. It's true that very thin women can "see" bulges, because there is little fat under the skin. Despite that, the fetus is floating in fluid, and most likely just moved away when your child hit you. Do call your provider, though. It's always better to check when you're concerned.
