My 18 month old does this...since its now chilly out we put the footies on her. It's doing good, until she can figure out the zipper.
I incorpoated naked time, really only about 5 to ten minutes, and noticed a big improvement. we use the sensitive line but apparently all skin just gets itchy.
I'm having the same problem with my 22 month old son except he does it during the day, he loves running around naked. I can get him to sit on the potty for a little bit but his desire to do so is very inconsistent so that I'm finding it difficult to potty train him just yet. I have found that the pull ups are helpful also a diaper with his favorite character big boy underwear over them works, he never takes it off that way.
Sounds like he's ready for a big boy bed! My son started acting out while in his crib when he was about 18 months. My husband suggested we try switching his bed although I was nervous because it seemed so early! Well, he LOVES it - because he loves the sense of independence he gets from not being locked in his crib. We make sure to shut the door to his room so there is no night-time roaming and it only took him about one night to understand that getting out of bed at night would do him no good. If your child is the independent type - give it a try!
Try and take him to the tolit, i took both my daughters from birth to the bathroom when iwould go, one is now 4 and the other is 20 months old.. By 14 months they were both going on their own first thing they did when they woke up was get out of bed and go to the bathroom.. you should move him out of the crib into a toddler bed.. by one year they should be out of the crib... by 18 months they were wearing panties all day and night with no accidents... good luck all... i'm pull up free!!
I have this problem as well. My daughter just turn two last month. I have tried a lot of things and she still manages to take every thing off including her diaper.
The comments above are very helpful, my daughter is 18 months and undressing, I have started putting a onsie on her then taking her zip up pj's cutting the feet out and putting them on backwards. you could also put the diaper on backwards with all the other above suggestions and maybe that could help you could even duct tape the tabs closed just make sure the tape doesn't touch their skin. Another thing you could try is putting pullups on some kids don't have the ability to understand to pull them down, so if you want to do the pullups make sure you tear the sides to take it off so your little one doesn't see you pulling them down and try to do it their selves. If you worry they may pee through the pull up buy a pack of the cloth diaper liners and put one inside the pull up. Hope this was helpful!
oops sorry I accidentally click the report abuse button instead of view next comments, darn! sorry how can I undo it? sorry sorry sorry....
I have this problem as well but, my son is older. My son is about to turn 3 the problem is the doctor told me he falls under the category of "Autistic" so it's a little harder to potty train especially if he screams every time u put him on the potty OR the toilet. I've tried both. I put onesies on him every time he goes to bed and change him as soon as he gets up. He still has his accidents and manages to get the onesie off but, usually it works!
We moved our 22 month old to toddler bed and he stopped undressing because he has other things to do in his room after he wakes up.
I've got this problem during day and night, so at least to sleep, I dress her with onesies. I've thought there were only for babies, but you can find them for 24 months also. It works pretty well and you can use the short sleeves during summer.
that person who said duck tape didn't explain, you put the duct tape around the waist on the diaper, or to save on duct tape you could try just strips on top of the tabs thats all ready there...good luck!
Get zip up jammies and safety pin the top through the zipper, snap the flap over the pin and viola . . . your smarter than a baby. Works for me everyday!
