Last week, I took the kids to a local amusement park. It is just a small park with a few little kid rides. Claire was excited to ride the rocketships, which are about eight rocketships, two seats in each, that go around in a circle. (Will was riding a much scarier ride with 'pa.) I was standing next to the rocketship she wanted to ride, waiting to lift her in. She was absolutely watching where she was going and walked RIGHT INTO the rocketship and hurt her leg. She screamed and screamed. I scooped her up and brought her to a bench to assess the damage while I continued to scratch my head to figure out how she ran into the rocketship. We sat on the bench for just a minute and, through her tears, she looked up at me and said "mommy, I try again." It was so cute! So, this time I carried her up to the rocketship and placed her carefully in the seat, where she merrily went around in a circle. What a silly girl!

After marrying her high school sweetheart, Tom, she had her son Will (born in November, 2006) and daughter Claire (born in May, 2008).
