How it Plays
Find a brush, the kind you'd use to paint a house. Fill a pail with water. Ask your child to "paint" the side of the house, a fence, even the trunk of a tree. Additional props your child might appreciate include a painter's hat, a small stepladder, a roller and pan, and a wagon in which to haul his tools and supplies.
What You'll Need
Learning and Growing
Your child is becoming increasingly curious about the outside world and is beginning to ask lots of questions about how it all fits together. This activity helps him understand cause-and-effect relationships and is a valuable lesson in how the real world works.
