Absolutely not! In fact, you are doing what many pediatric dermatologists recommend to parents of children with dry skin conditions. Daily bathing, as long as it brief (no more than 10 minutes) and the water is just warm (not too hot, not too cold), is quite beneficial in many ways, whether or not dry skin is an issue. Daily short baths hydrate (add water to) the skin, which helps to keep it healthy, and they soothe the baby, especially in the evening before bedtime. In addition, bath time is a great opportunity for bonding with your little one. And should he develop dry skin, applying a thick moisturizer immediately after the bath will help out. So . . . keep that bath time short, and enjoy!
