How do I set up the video monitor?

Make sure your monitor is connected to a power outlet. Launch your app, log in, and follow the set up instructions on your screen.

If you skipped monitor set up at launch, open the app, tap “More”, and select “Camera Monitor”.

How do I wall-mount the video monitor?

Find a spot above the crib, near a power outlet. Detach the monitor from the dock and remove the cover plate to reveal the screw holes. Hold the dock in position against the wall and mark the hole positions with a pencil. Drill the two holes and insert the anchors provided. Screw the dock to the wall and place the cover plate back on. You can now mount the monitor on the dock. Finally, don’t forget to secure the monitor cable to the wall using the clips provided.

How can I turn off the video monitor?

To ensure complete privacy, you can turn it off by pressing the button on the camera base twice. To temporarily obstruct the view, you can tilt the camera bell to face the base of the dock. (Note: In this case, audio will continue to stream.)

Is the video monitor livestream secure?

Yes, the livestream is transferred securely using the latest security protocols, meaning only you have access to your livestream.

How do I change my monitor settings?

Open the app, tap “More”, and then “Camera Monitor”.

Can I record video from the Lumi monitor?

Yes, the Lumi Smart Monitor lets you create a 60 second time lapse with highlights from the past 15 hours. To enable Lumi Lookbacks, open the Lumi App, go to ‘More’, and select Video Monitor.

Once enabled, you’ll be able to generate up to 4 Lumi Lookbacks per 24-hour period and save the videos directly on to your phone/tablet.

To generate the Lookback, go to the Home tab and tap the banner at the top of the screen. You can also tap the 'play' button at the bottom right of your monitor stream if you are in streaming mode. Both these buttons will load your 60 second brief (the video can take up to 2 minutes to load).

Once the Lookback is generated, it will be available in the app for the next 24 hours. To find your recent Lookbacks, go to the 'Today at a glance' section, or the Routine tab.

Lookbacks are deleted after 24 hours, so make sure to download the ones you'd like to keep! To download, play the Lookback and tap the download button on the right side of the screen.

Please note:

  • Only caregivers with full access can generate a Lumi Lookback.
  • Once you have generated a Lumi Lookback, the App will not let you create another one for 6 hour.
  • You can add a timestamp to your video if you want extra information. To do so, turn on ‘subtitles & captioning’ in the ‘Accessibility’ section of your phone setting.

How do I connect my video monitor to a different WiFi?

You can change the WiFi by resetting the camera and setting it up again.

How do I connect my video monitor to a different WiFi?

Can two people livestream at the same time?

Yes, any of the caregivers can livestream the monitor as long as they are connected to the internet via WiFi or cellular data.

Can I use multiple cameras?

We currently do not support multiple cameras, but stay tuned as we introduce more features!

How do I reset the video monitor?

You will need to reset the monitor in the Lumi by Pampers app, and in some cases, also physically reset the video monitor device. Before starting, make sure the camera is docked and attached to the power supply and your phone is connected to the internet‒ ideally your home Wi-Fi network.

Resetting the monitor in the Lumi app: On the bottom right of the app, tap “More”, tap “Camera monitor”, then tap “Reset monitor” and follow the onscreen instructions.

If the light ring on the camera’s front panel is not blinking dark blue, you will also need to physically reset the video monitor device.

Resetting the video monitor device: Make sure the camera is docked and attached to the power supply. Look for the circular reset button above the Lumi bunny on the side of the camera bell. Press and hold the reset button for 9 seconds and release when you see the blinking purple and green light ring.
