Is the video monitor livestream secure?
Yes, Lumi is very secure and ensures only you and your allowed caregivers can access baby's feed.
Lumi uses the same state-of-the-art security protocols leveraged by the highly regulated financial industry including dual layer 256bit encryption, and goes one step further by adding a 2-factor authentication (2FA) requirement.
2FA means users need to provide their username and password and in addition enter a temporary code that can only be accessed by that unique user, i.e. a security token. For Lumi, this unique 6-digit code is delivered via a text message as the user is logging in.
A security measure like 2FA makes it really difficult for hackers to access your data because an unwanted party would need to have both physical access to your phone’s text messages and know your exact username and password.
As parents ourselves, we know how important security and safety is, that’s why Lumi has approached data security from every angle.
