Your baby’s safety is our priority. Pampers carefully selects each ingredient using trusted science and technology. Our diapers are thoughtfully designed with carefully selected materials to ensure your baby's comfort, dryness, and safety.
We back our promise with a rigorous multi-step safety process that includes thousands of tests—from ingredients to daily quality checks. We’re committed to openness—here’s a breakdown of what makes up our diapers:
Topsheet
The soft topsheet, which touches your baby's skin, uses Polypropylene and Polyethylene for absorption. These common materials have a long history of safe use in diapers and fabrics, helping to keep your baby comfortable and dry. Our diapers also include an Emollient/Balm for skin comfort, a cosmetic ingredient added to the topsheet to help maintain healthy skin.
Core
The diaper's core is designed for maximum absorption. It features Polyester, a common and safe fabric material, to help keep your baby comfortable and dry. We also use Cellulose (wood fibers) which soaks up liquid. These fibers are purified using an elemental chlorine-free process and come from FSC®-certified forests and other controlled sources. To quickly lock away wetness, the core contains Sodium polyacrylate, a superabsorbent material that keeps baby's skin comfortable and dry and is safe for use in diapers.
Cuffs
The cuffs around the legs are designed for comfort and protection. Made with Polypropylene, a common and safe material, they offer softness, durability, and protection. Elastane/Spandex provides a stretchy, latex-free material for a snug fit around the legs. For a touch of charm, Pigments are used for aesthetics, offering safe, skin-friendly colors.
Fastening System
Our fastening system securely holds the diaper in place. Both Polypropylene and Polyethylene are used here for fastening. These common and safe materials deliver comfort and breathability, ensuring the diaper stays comfortably on your baby's belly.
Outercover
The outercover is designed for breathability and protection. It uses both Polyethylene and Polypropylene, common and safe materials known for delivering softness, breathability, and overall protection. For delightful designs, Pigments are added for aesthetics, providing safe, skin-friendly colors. These pigments are used in tiny amounts and are positioned away from your baby's skin.
Wetness Indicator
A helpful water-soluble colorant acts as the urine indicator. This pH-sensitive material changes color when wet with urine, clearly signaling that it's time for a diaper change. Importantly, this wetness indicator does not come into contact with your baby's skin.
Adhesives
To keep all the diaper layers securely together, we use Polymers as adhesives. These adhesives are carefully placed underneath the diaper layers, ensuring they do not touch your baby's skin.

Remove Diaper
Lay your baby down on their back and remove the used diaper. Wrap it up and stick the tapes down to seal the bundle.

Clean & Care
Gently clean your baby’s diaper area, taking care to get between the folds of skin. Try Pampers Sensitive Wipes and remember to wipe front to back.

Fresh Diaper
Carefully raise your baby’s legs and slide a clean diaper underneath. Pull the front of the diaper up and lay it on your baby’s belly, securing with the tapes.

AnhM
“pampers already a top diapers brand in the market so there is no doubt that would bring best quality for my kids. the material is soft , well absorbed and durable even it’s it full.”
"Pampers are a must!"
LauraZ
“We LOVE pampers and refuse to buy any other brand. Swaddlers are soft, very absorbent and comfortable for our little one to wear. We love the fit, they are tall enough to survive blow outs (along with a catch all flap) and retain moisture from sitting on skin.”
"Great diaper"
LolaP
“Pampers swaddles are our go-to diaper. They fit perfectly around the curves and are soft. I like that we don’t have blowouts or leaks, and they never give my baby a rash and they have sensitive skin.”
"Almost always a blowout!"
Natosha
“Anywhere from 2-6 times a week we are having blowouts where there is more BM outside of the diaper than there is inside of the diaper. Which is so sad because I really like the pampers brand, my child is the correct weight and the diapers fit well. The little ruffles are always fluffed out as they are supposed to me and just this week we have had 4 blow outs messing up two outfits in one day with BM and then pee came through the diaper 3 different times this week and it wasn’t because the diaper was full!”
Response from Pampers
We're so incredibly sorry to hear about the blowouts, Natosha. We know how one of those can impact your day, let alone multiple. From what you've described, it may be time to move your little one to a size 7. Every size has a weight range, and you will see some overlapping because because babies come in all different shapes and sizes. With a larger diaper, there will be more absorbent material, so we wouldn't expect those blowouts and leaks. We'd like to connect with you some more about this and help. Please call us at (800) 726-7377.
"Love pampers"
