At Pampers, every material is carefully selected and evaluated before use, with safety assessments that look at what the material is, how it could touch skin, and how it performs in everyday diaper use. Pampers researcher Dey S. and her colleagues published in Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology journal in 2016, the description of the step-by-step safety approach, including risk assessment, skin compatibility checks, and ongoing monitoring after products reach families. 

For families, the reassurance is simple: diaper materials are not chosen on trust alone. They are assessed and tested before they become part of the diaper that touches your baby’s delicate skin. This published safety approach helps make Pampers’ testing process visible to healthcare professionals, safety scientists, and parents who want clear answers about diaper materials and sensitive baby skin. 

At Pampers, safety isn’t a claim—it’s a process. Here’s how we ensure every product is tested, trusted, and baby-safe: 

1. We Choose Only Trusted, Safe Ingredients. We source raw materials from vetted suppliers who meet or exceed safety standards set by the U. S. and global health organizations. We never use elemental chlorine bleaching, latex (natural rubber) disperse dyes. 

2. We Assess our materials before using. Each component is thoroughly evaluated for skin safety. We work with dermatological experts and third-party validators like the Skin Health Alliance. We conduct additional voluntary testing for every material before it is ever use, including impurity screening at levels stricter than European regulatory limits. 

3. We Rigorously Assess Every Product. Pampers tests ~2 million diapers around the world every year. Before any product reaches your home, it's gone through multiple rounds of lab and clinical testing, especially for sensitive skin.  Pampers diapers are hypoallergenic, tested dermatologically and approved by the dermatologists of the Skin health Alliance. 

4. We Monitor in Real Time, Every Day. Thousands of quality checks are performed on production lines, every day. Each pack of Pampers is completely traceable right back to our manufacturing sites and every day we talk with parents around the world, gathering feedback so we can keep raising our standards.
