Our Packaging

We’re packing more thought into how we can do it better and kinder than ever before (see what we did there *wink* *wink*).

Surrounding everything we do…

We’re conscious of our responsibility to reduce the environmental impact of our products and our operations. And designing recyclable packaging plays a major part in that!

Pampers diaper packaging is designed to be recyclable where facilities exists

Plastic bags, wraps, and films can’t be recycled in your curbside recycling bins. But you can take some of these items to local retail stores where they collect plastic grocery bags for recycling. Any package that you see with the How2Recycle Store Drop-off label can be recycled this way. Find a location near you.

And for our cardboard boxes, it is best to bring them to a recycling collection point near you or reuse them for storage or making toys for your kids.

So…why don’t we just remove packaging altogether?

Because a diaper wraps your baby’s delicate skin, it’s essential to have packaging which protects it to ensure it arrives in perfect condition for your little one.

Packaging also helps to:

  1. Protect the quality and performance of the diapers or wipes

  2. Safeguard the product from humidity

  3. Provide a physical barrier at the factory and during transportation

Given that packaging is a must, it’s even more important that we focus our attention on devising for more conscious options.

So how is Pampers working towards sustainable options using conscious materials?

Pampers’ 2-Step Packaging commitment:

To help us accelerate our journey towards packaging sustainability, we are striving towards.

  1. Make 100% of our packaging recyclable where facilities exists

  2. Continue reducing virgin-petroleum-based plastics in our packaging by 50%². ²Baseline is 2017
