Your baby’s safety is our priority. Pampers carefully selects each ingredient using trusted science and technology. Our diapers are thoughtfully designed with carefully selected materials to ensure your baby's comfort, dryness, and safety.
We back our promise with a rigorous multi-step safety process that includes thousands of tests—from ingredients to daily quality checks. We’re committed to openness—here’s a breakdown of what makes up our diapers:
Topsheet
The soft topsheet, which touches your baby's skin, uses Polypropylene and Polyethylene for absorption. These common materials have a long history of safe use in diapers and fabrics, helping to keep your baby comfortable and dry. Our diapers also include an Emollient/Balm for skin comfort, a cosmetic ingredient added to the topsheet to help maintain healthy skin.
Core
The diaper's core is designed for maximum absorption. It features Polyester, a common and safe fabric material, to help keep your baby comfortable and dry. We also use Cellulose (wood fibers) which soaks up liquid. These fibers are purified using an elemental chlorine-free process and come from FSC®-certified forests and other controlled sources. To quickly lock away wetness, the core contains Sodium polyacrylate, a superabsorbent material that keeps baby's skin comfortable and dry and is safe for use in diapers.
Cuffs
The cuffs around the legs are designed for comfort and protection. Made with Polypropylene, a common and safe material, they offer softness, durability, and protection. Elastane/Spandex provides a stretchy, latex-free material for a snug fit around the legs. For a touch of charm, Pigments are used for aesthetics, offering safe, skin-friendly colors.
Fastening System
Our fastening system securely holds the diaper in place. Both Polypropylene and Polyethylene are used here for fastening. These common and safe materials deliver comfort and breathability, ensuring the diaper stays comfortably on your baby's belly.
Outercover
The outercover is designed for breathability and protection. It uses both Polyethylene and Polypropylene, common and safe materials known for delivering softness, breathability, and overall protection. For delightful designs, Pigments are added for aesthetics, providing safe, skin-friendly colors. These pigments are used in tiny amounts and are positioned away from your baby's skin.
Wetness Indicator
A helpful water-soluble colorant acts as the urine indicator. This pH-sensitive material changes color when wet with urine, clearly signaling that it's time for a diaper change. Importantly, this wetness indicator does not come into contact with your baby's skin.
Adhesives
To keep all the diaper layers securely together, we use Polymers as adhesives. These adhesives are carefully placed underneath the diaper layers, ensuring they do not touch your baby's skin.

"Don't recommend"
Kass
“These diapers are like paper bags that last a total of 4 hours during the night. Normally we buy Minnie moon but walmart didnt have any and so my fiance thought these were a new brand called "Amore". Just like every typical man he didmt read that they were pampers. If you want your kid to have a good nights sleep where you dont have to wake them to changed their soaked diaper then do not get these. I understand they are for "night time" use but all diapers should be. Anywho dont recommend. They remind me of a cheap paper bag”
Response from Pampers
Pampers AMORE is designed to provide loving, comfortable protection that you can depend on. While leaks can sometimes occur, what you've described isn't usual and we do apologize. We'd be glad to talk more with you about this and help as best we can. Our phone number is 1 (800) 726-7377.
"Gel substance"
Erika
“For the day, they are great diapers, but for nighttime they are not. I went four hours without a diaper change, as she was sleeping. When she woke up, she was full of gel substance from the diaper.”
"Disappointing"
Hope
“I had high hopes for these diapers, but they have unfortunately failed. I have been using these for my baby for about a month at night time. She is 3 months old now and we needed a good overnight diaper that could keep her from waking up soaked through her clothes (which had been happening several times per week). I sized up to a size 2 in this diaper for nighttime. I am now up at 430am for the third occurrence now because the diaper became untaped and she was soaked. I had already noticed that the tape was not super sticky, so I have been making a point to press down well to secure it when putting on. There have also been several times she had leaked out the back by the morning. I do understand nighttime can be difficult when they are going 10+ hours without a diaper change (she sleeps 9p-8a typically/lately), but a premium diaper especially should be able to handle it. I will be returning the size 3 box that I had already purchased.”
Response from Pampers
Making it through the night, meeting the morning sun with dry smiles, is delightful, Hope, and we do apologize that your little one's needing a bit more for overnight. Have you tried Pampers Swaddlers Overnights or Pampers Zzzs? These diapers have extra absorbency that helps through those long stretches. Call us for more info at 1 (800) 726-7377.
"Exactly as Advertised"
KatieW
“Pampers Amore advertises as soft and cloud like cottony cushioning and that is exactly what they feel like on my baby. Baby’s skin is so sensative and soft that we love how soft the diapers are to match that! These diapers are also very versatile and durable- handling everything from her peeing in protest to being changed to her giant poops while she’s learning how her guts work. The wings on the edges help keep anything from leaking out. We did have to wait for the fit to work- she was born early and is 1st percentile, so we needed to make sure she gained some weight and size before the newborn size fit her. Still worth it, though, once she fit.”
"Good but not great"
SamanthaM
“These diapers are super soft and comfy! I liked them, but I wish they had more stretch for a better fit for my baby. I probably wouldnt purchase these again considering the higher price point and not as much diapers come in the box.”
Response from Pampers
